AI Statement

With the advent of generative AI, I've set for myself an ethical imperative, inspired by the example of others, to disclose the methods of interaction with models for use in both the generation of ideas and of the content itself; to trace an apparent separation from AI-generated content and ideation prompting, with organic-derived content and ideas, limited here to the written word.

My uses are as follows:

For business applications, where there's need for efficiency and ever-changing cultural relevance, I've engaged with AI for content generation, revision, and editing, and will continue to use it in the future. I've also used these models for ideation, and the identification of trends, with the accompanying consideration of suggestions of where to apply resources with an objective of profit. Where voluntary interaction turns dependent; one of many risks introduced by AI.

For personal writing, with the simple aesthetic objective of self-search and the exercise of my judgement—such as essays or journals—I set it beyond the course of my actions to use an artificial model for the critique, correction, or generation of content. Further, a reversion from assisted typing to writing by hand is preferred, with consideration to the trade off between recording ideas and the methods of which are used; action over perfection. Where spillover ideation from previous AI conversations is inevitable, the amalgamation of ideas present in this writer's mind will, for my application only, be set down in a free-flowing and extemporaneous manner, without artificial input and with limited regard to convention, culture, or perception; where solitude and honesty results in words ad cor rerum.
